Secret Physique® Barre Studio was the first “Barre” studio on the South Shore, launched back in 2008. Since, has experienced rapid customer growth and now owns and operates 3 studios located in Pembroke, Quincy, & Hingham.
Secret Physique Barre is an innovative workout program fusing ballet barre work, Pilates, and yoga, influenced by The Lotte Berk Method. Our method combines isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches to systematically lengthen and sculpt your muscles and create a long, lean body, using interval training. Secret Physique’s methods use your body’s own weight as resistance, and through dynamic exercises, your muscles are targeted and overloaded to the point of exhaustion, then stretched to elongate the muscle.

Secret Physique Barre
Secret Physique® Barre is a mind-body work-out that combines ballet barre work, Pilates, and yoga. The strength work consists of many different exercises that work each muscle to exhaustion followed by stretching, which is what gives the muscle a long lean appearance. Alignment is the most important part of each exercise to be sure you can work the muscle as intense and safe as possible. The method includes an hour-long mind-body workout to fun upbeat music followed by an inspirational cool down. This combination creates a fitness system that firms, lengthens, and re-shapes muscles to their most optimal form.
Our method was influenced by the decades-old proven exercise, The Lotte Berk Method. The class begins with working the upper body with free weights, and then moves to the bar to work the legs intensely, followed by abdominal work, and finished on mats for more core work, seat exercises and stretching. All while listening to the perfect music to get you feeling exactly how you should at each moment!
Barre Works
Barre Works is a 45min class that combines cardio with barre work. This class is like boot camp, all while at the barre. Socks are required. Due to the pace of the class, it is not recommended for first time clients.
Bardio
Bardio® is a mix of cardio and barre. Class begins wearing sneakers, doing intense "Insanity" style cardio followed by barre work. Sneakers and a towel required.
Hollywood Dance Class
Hollywood Dance begins with a warm-up stretch followed by a sexy/burlesque styled dance combination. Regular sneakers are required, but must have never been worn outside. Indoor sneakers only!

TRX Semi-Private Training

TRX is a loose acronym for total body resistance training exercise. The TRX was designed as a portable, lightweight exercise solution by a Navy Seal who wanted to be able to work out any time, anywhere. When properly set up and executed, suspension training can help prevent injuries and be used for injury rehab and physical therapy. Whereas traditional weight training typically works one muscle at a time and can lead to overuse injury, suspension training allows for multiple planes of motion and works multiple muscles and joints simultaneously.
The result is a workout that improves both so-called functional and core strength - and a body less likely to become injured. The TRX was designed so you can transition between many exercises quickly and easily, allowing you to complete challenging fat burning workouts in less time and with just your body weight. The TRX is one of the few pieces of equipment that allows you to work on strength, endurance, core, flexibility, mobility, and stability, all while having tons of fun.
